Hello, I’m Diona Sims, your 2021 Universal Classic Ms. I currently live in Round Rock, TX with my husband of 11 year Brian, our daughter Anastasia (10), and son Cole (7). We moved to Texas 6 years ago from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

I work for ChristianaCare Health Services in Delaware, as the Director of IT Vendor and Contract Management. It’s just a fancy way of saying I negotiate IT contracts. When I’m not busy with work, I enjoy traveling all across Texas with my family. OLM has given me the opportunity to see so much more of this great state! I love our vacations in South Padre, and trips to Six Flags when we travel near San Antonio.
In my spare time I enjoy reading, baking, and just being outside to enjoy the beauty that is creation. I’m so thankful for the beautiful weather we get to experience here in Texas. I also like to help out in my community. I am active as a board member for PTA, I like to help out our teachers at our school by volunteering.
I also enjoy being a volunteer for the SAFE Alliance in Austin. SAFE provides an excellent resource for any and all people who are survivors of abuse. Being part of OLM has been the highlight of my Texas journey. When we moved here from PA, we left all our family and friends behind. But the amazing women and girls that I have had the opportunity to meet and mentor have become a second family to us.
